The following is a list of software available for faculty and staff for home use. It is the expectation of the College that faculty and staff using such software comply to the specific software license agreement guidelines indicated within the software itself.

City Tech active faculty have the ability to use CUNY Virtual Desktops to access desktop applications such as ARGIS, SPSS, SAS, Matlab, Maple, Mathematica.

MS Office 365 ProPlus

City Tech is providing Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus to all active faculty and staff at no cost via the Microsoft Office in Education program. You can install this suite of productivity software on your personal devices, including desktops and laptops, tablets, and smart phones. This free version includes widely used Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, and Outlook. The Office 365 ProPlus license remains active until you leave the college. At that point, you'll be prompted to pay a license fee to Microsoft or stop using Microsoft Office

McAfee VirusScan provides complete, proactive malware protection for Mac systems and users. Using proven protection methods, it stops all types of viruses and malicious code, including spyware, adware, Trojans, and new, unknown threats.

To access McAfee VirusScan, you need to login to CUNY Portal and download the software from CUNY eMall.
